At 4,167 meters, Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa, and reachable in a short three day trip from Marrakech with no technical climbing required, just fitness and good boots. The route passes through Berber villages, terraced fields, and a mountain refuge before the summit push. Winter ascents require crampons and ice axe, provided by your guide.
