Mount Kenya offers a completely different trekking experience from Kilimanjaro: far fewer trekkers, dramatic rock spires, glacial tarns, and unique giant lobelia and groundsel plants found only at this altitude in East Africa. This itinerary reaches Point Lenana (4,985 m), the highest point reachable without technical climbing gear, via the scenic Sirimon route.
Walk through podocarpus forest and moorland to the first camp at 3,300 m.

$1,450Per person
Cross the high moorland with views of the jagged main peaks, Batian and Nelion.
A short acclimatization walk toward Mackinder Valley, resting before the pre-dawn summit attempt.
An early start to reach Point Lenana (4,985 m) for sunrise, then descend the Naro Moru side back to Old Moses.
Final descent through the forest and transfer back to Nanyuki or Nairobi.
Starts in Nanyuki, ends in Nanyuki.

Fly into Nairobi (NBO), then transfer about 3 hours north to Nanyuki, the trailhead town.
