A 8-day Kilimanjaro climb led by Baba Kilimanjaro Tours And Safars.
Register at Londorossi Gate, then trek through dense rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp, the quietest and least-crowded start of any Kilimanjaro route.
Transition from rainforest into heath and moorland, with the first wide views opening up across the Shira Plateau.
$1,980Per person
Cross the Shira Plateau itself, one of the oldest volcanic formations on the mountain, with panoramic views of Kibo Peak.
Climb high to Lava Tower (4,600 m) for lunch and acclimatization, then descend to sleep at Barranco Camp - the mountain's "climb high, sleep low" rule in action.
Scramble up the Barranco Wall first thing in the morning, then trek through valleys and ridges toward Karanga Camp.
A short but significant move onto increasingly bare, rocky ground at Barafu, where the crew helps prepare gear before an early dinner and rest ahead of summit night.
Depart around midnight for the summit, reach Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) at sunrise, then descend to Mweka Camp.
A final descent through rainforest to Mweka Gate, where successful climbers collect their summit certificate.
Starts in Moshi, ends in Moshi.
