Depart from Moshi or Arusha with your Tanzania Daily Tours & Safari mountain team for a scenic drive to Londorossi Gate. Complete park registration and entry formalities, then drive a short distance further to the Lemosho trailhead. Begin your trek through the lush, pristine rainforest filled with towering trees, exotic ferns, and colorful birdlife. Arrive at Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree / Forest Camp) in the late afternoon, where your mountain crew will have camp set up, followed by a warm dinner and overnight stay.

Leave the rainforest zone behind and climb steadily out of the forest, crossing a steep ridge and entering the moorland zone. The trail flattens out as you approach the edge of the vast Shira Plateau, offering magnificent views of the Kibo glacier across the plateau. Arrive at Shira 1 Camp in the afternoon for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay under the stars.

Explore the expansive moorlands of the Shira Plateau on a gentle hike eastward toward Shira Cathedral, a massive volcanic cone surrounded by lava flows. Take time to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and valleys. Continue across the plateau to reach Shira 2 Camp, located in a moorland meadow by a stream, where you will enjoy dinner, acclimatization views, and an overnight stay.

Trek eastward up a rugged ridge towards the striking Lava Tower, reaching an altitude of over 4,600 meters for a crucial high-altitude acclimatization lunch. After resting and taking in the dramatic alpine desert landscape, descend along the trail beneath the towering Breach Wall to reach the picturesque Barranco Camp, nestled in a deep valley below the Great Barranco Wall for dinner and overnight.

Begin the day by conquering the iconic Great Barranco Wall, a thrilling scramble up a steep cliff face aided by your expert guides. Once at the top, traverse a series of ridges and valleys that offer magnificent views of the southern icefields of Kibo. Arrive at Karanga Camp around midday for a hot lunch, allowing plenty of time to rest, hydrate, and acclimatize in the alpine desert landscape before dinner and an overnight stay.

Depart Karanga Camp and ascend through an increasingly barren alpine desert landscape as you leave the last vegetation behind. The trail climbs steadily toward the rocky ridge of Barafu Camp, where you will arrive by early afternoon. Spend the rest of the day resting, eating an early dinner, and preparing your gear for the midnight summit attempt while enjoying the dramatic views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.

Wake up shortly before midnight for the final summit push under the cover of darkness. Trek up steep scree slopes between the Ratzel and Rebmann glaciers toward Stella Point on the crater rim. After a short rest, continue along the snowy rim to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your monumental achievement, take sunrise photos, and begin your descent back down to Barafu Camp for a brief rest and hot lunch, then continue down to Millennium Camp for dinner and a well-deserved overnight stay.

Enjoy a final breakfast on the mountain and celebrate with your dedicated Tanzania Daily Tours & Safari crew through a traditional song and dance ceremony of appreciation. Descend steadily through the lush rainforest zone down to Mweka Gate, where you will sign out and receive your official summit certificates (green certificates for Stella Point, gold certificates for Uhuru Peak). Meet your private transfer vehicle and drive back to your hotel in Moshi for a hot shower, relaxation, and a well-earned celebration of your Kilimanjaro triumph.
