Depart from your hotel in Moshi early in the morning and take a scenic drive through coffee and banana farms to the Marangu Gate of Kilimanjaro National Park. After completing park registration, begin your guided trek through the breathtaking, lush montane rainforest. Keep an eye out for blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, and diverse bird species along the trail. Arrive at Mandara Hut (2,700m) for a well-deserved picnic lunch. Take an optional short walk to the nearby Maundi Crater for panoramic views of the region before descending back to the gate, where your vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Moshi.
