Experience an unforgettable journey through some of Kenya's most spectacular wildlife destinations. This carefully designed private safari begins in Nairobi and takes you south to Amboseli National Park, famous for its magnificent elephants and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. From Amboseli, continue to the beautiful Lake Naivasha, followed by the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations. The journey then continues to Lake Nakuru National Park, an important rhino sanctuary, before heading north to Samburu National Reserve, home to unique northern wildlife species. The safari concludes with a scenic drive from Samburu back to Nairobi. Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from Nairobi and a scenic drive south towards Amboseli National Park. Arrive in Amboseli around lunchtime and check into your accommodation. After lunch and a short rest, enjoy your first afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular landscapes, with Mount Kilimanjaro providing an incredible backdrop when weather conditions are clear.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive exploring Amboseli National Park with a packed lunch. Look out for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and numerous bird species. The park offers excellent photographic opportunities, particularly around the wetlands where wildlife gathers. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel towards the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha. This is a scenic journey through changing Kenyan landscapes. Arrive at Lake Naivasha in the afternoon and check into your accommodation. Depending on arrival time, you may relax at the lodge or enjoy an optional boat safari on Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is known for its hippos, abundant birdlife and beautiful surroundings. Optional: Lake Naivasha Boat Ride – additional cost.
After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and continue towards the world-famous Maasai Mara. Arrive around lunchtime and, after lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive. The Maasai Mara is renowned for its incredible wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes and many other species. During the migration season, the Mara may also offer opportunities to witness large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra.
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Maasai Mara. After an early breakfast, depart with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive. Explore different sections of the reserve in search of the Big Five and other wildlife. Your experienced safari guide will select the best areas according to wildlife movements and current conditions. Return to your accommodation in the evening.
After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and travel towards Lake Nakuru. Arrive around lunchtime and continue with an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is particularly known for its rhinos and also offers opportunities to see buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras and a variety of bird species.
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and drive north towards Samburu National Reserve. This is a longer transfer day, taking you through beautiful Kenyan landscapes and communities. Arrive in Samburu later in the afternoon. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short game drive before checking into your accommodation. Samburu is famous for unique northern species such as the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich, as well as elephants, lions, leopards and many other animals.
Wake up early for your final game drive in Samburu National Reserve. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the reserve during the cooler morning hours and look for wildlife along the Ewaso Ng'iro River. After the game drive, return to the accommodation for breakfast before beginning your journey back to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon/evening.
