Experience two of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations in just two days. Fly from Zanzibar to Arusha, explore the elephant-rich Tarangire National Park, then continue to the Ngorongoro Highlands for an overnight stay. The following morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting game drive before flying back to Zanzibar. This route is well suited for travelers with limited time who still want an authentic Northern Tanzania safari.

Early morning transfer from your Zanzibar hotel to the airport for a scheduled flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, meet your professional safari guide and depart for Tarangire National Park, approximately 2 hours away. Enjoy a game drive through the park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and diverse birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before continuing toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive at your lodge in the Karatu area for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the wildlife-rich surroundings before ascending the crater and driving toward Arusha Airport. Catch your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, where you will be transferred to your hotel.
