Your safari begins with pickup from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) or your Nairobi hotel in the morning. Depart Nairobi and drive south towards Amboseli National Park, watching the landscape shift into open plains with Mount Kilimanjaro gradually rising into view as you approach. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive across Amboseli's swamps and dried lake beds. The park is famous for its large herds of free-roaming elephants, frequently photographed with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro as a dramatic backdrop — one of Africa's most iconic wildlife scenes. Other wildlife commonly spotted includes buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and abundant birdlife.

Rise early for breakfast before heading out for a full day of game viewing across Amboseli National Park. Morning game drives are ideal for spotting predators and active wildlife, including lion, cheetah, and spotted hyena, as cooler temperatures bring animals out into the open. Continue exploring the park's varied terrain, from dried lake beds and swamps to acacia woodland, home to large herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, and over 400 recorded bird species. Amboseli remains one of the best places in Africa to photograph elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the background, especially on clear mornings. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest during the midday heat, with an optional visit to a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. In the late afternoon, head back out for a final game drive as the light softens for excellent photography, before returning to the lodge for dinour and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on the lake, one of the best ways to get close to hippos and spot the incredible birdlife the lake is known for, including fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans, all set against a backdrop of yellow barked acacia trees. Following the boat ride, take a guided nature walk in the nearby conservancy, where, unlike most parks, you can walk freely among giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, and gazelle in a predator free environment, making it a rewarding experience for wildlife photography. Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and an overnight stay by the lake.

After breakfast, continue your journey deeper into the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, set out on a game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya's most scenic and compact parks, fully fenced to protect its resident wildlife. The park is renowned for its dense concentrations of flamingos and pelicans that line the alkaline lake shores, creating a striking pink tinged spectacle when conditions are right. Beyond birdlife, Lake Nakuru is one of the best places in Kenya to spot both black and white rhino, thanks to the park's status as a rhino sanctuary. Other wildlife commonly seen includes lion, leopard (often resting in the park's yellow fever trees), giraffe (notably the endangered Rothschild's giraffe), buffalo, and waterbuck. As the afternoon light softens, enjoy scenic viewpoints such as Baboon Cliff, offering panoramic views over the lake and surrounding escarpment, a great spot for photography before heading back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and travel to the world renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's premier wildlife destination, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive across the Mara's vast open plains. Famous for its dense predator population, the Mara offers excellent chances of spotting lion, leopard, and cheetah, alongside large herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and zebra. Depending on the season, you may also witness part of the spectacular Great Migration, as millions of wildebeest and zebra move across the plains in search of fresh grazing, one of nature's most dramatic wildlife spectacles.

After an early breakfast, set out for a full day of game viewing across the Masai Mara, with morning and afternoon game drives covering different areas of the reserve to maximize wildlife sightings. Explore the Mara's diverse habitats, from open grassland plains to riverine forest along the Mara and Talek Rivers, home to the reserve's famous resident lion prides, as well as leopard, cheetah, hyena, and abundant plains game. Keep watch along the riverbanks for hippo pods and Nile crocodile, particularly at the Mara River crossing points, a dramatic sight during migration season when wildebeest and zebra brave the crossing. Return to camp for lunch and rest during the midday heat, with an optional hot air balloon safari available at dawn for those wanting a bird's eye view of the plains (booked separately). In the late afternoon, head back out for a final game drive as the light softens, before returning to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and travel to the Isebania or Sirari border crossing into Tanzania, where you will complete immigration formalities before continuing your journey into the Serengeti National Park. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive as you enter this vast and legendary ecosystem, one of the most celebrated wildlife destinations on Earth. The Serengeti's endless golden plains support some of the highest concentrations of predators in Africa, offering excellent chances of spotting lion, cheetah, and leopard, alongside large herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and, depending on the season, part of the Great Migration as it moves through the park.

After an early breakfast, set out for a full day of game viewing across the Serengeti, with morning and afternoon game drives exploring different areas of the park to maximize wildlife sightings. Traverse the park's iconic open plains, dotted with acacia trees and scattered kopjes (rocky outcrops), home to large prides of lion, as well as leopard, cheetah, and abundant herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and giraffe. Depending on the season and your route through the park (Northern, Central, or Western Serengeti), you may witness dramatic moments of the Great Migration, including river crossings or newborn calving in the southern plains. Return to camp for lunch and rest during the midday heat, with an optional hot air balloon safari available at dawn for a spectacular aerial view of the plains (booked separately). In the late afternoon, head back out for a final game drive as the light softens, before returning to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you make your way out of the Serengeti, keeping watch for any last wildlife sightings across the plains before departing the park. Travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater in the afternoon. En route, take in sweeping views of the Rift Valley and the changing landscape as you climb towards the crater highlands. Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim in time to settle in and enjoy panoramic views over this remarkable natural wonder, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's largest intact volcanic calderas, before dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full morning game drive across this unique, self contained ecosystem. Home to an estimated 25,000 large animals, the crater offers exceptional wildlife viewing in a compact area, including one of the best chances in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino, alongside lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra grazing on the crater floor. The crater's permanent water sources and grassland attract dense concentrations of wildlife year round, and the dramatic crater walls rising around you create a truly unforgettable backdrop for photography. In the early afternoon, ascend out of the crater and begin the drive towards Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon for your drop off, marking the end of your Kenya and Tanzania safari.
