Upon arrival time at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport, you will be met and picked by an Absolutely Kili and Travel representative and then transferred to your hotel. Along the way you will stop at the Shetani Lava flow, which is a massive extension of a recent volcanic flow aged approximately at 1000 years. You will check into Tsavo national park and visit the Mzima Springs on your way to the lodge. Here we will view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species. The greenery surrounding the springs is a welcome contrast to the harsh terrain that forms the bulk of Tsavo West. Continue with a game drive en route to your lodge arriving in time for lunch. You will have an afternoon game drive at 1600 Hrs. venturing out in search of the elusive leopards and the occasional Wild Dog. The landscape is flat with little vegetation and with several swampy areas. The park is mostly known for its beautiful view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Keep your camera close as mt. Kilimanjaro might show her beautiful face. Depart for an evening game drive in search for the big herds of the African Elephants, Lions, the gazelles, and the Elusive Eland. Weather permitting you will be able to have a magnificent view of the Kilimanjaro.
