Your safari begins in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast. Meet your professional safari guide and depart towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife areas. Upon arrival, you will enter the park and begin your first game drive. Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the Tarangire River, which provides an important water source for wildlife. During the game drive, keep your eyes open for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and various predators. The park also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated picnic area, followed by an afternoon game drive before exiting the park. Continue to your accommodation around Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is compact but remarkably diverse, with groundwater forests, open grasslands, acacia woodland and the alkaline Lake Manyara. It is particularly known for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, large bird population and beautiful scenery. Begin your game drive through the park, looking for elephants moving through the forest, giraffes browsing in the woodland, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and different species of monkeys and antelopes. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy the lake environment, where depending on the season you may see large numbers of waterbirds and flamingos. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a designated area before continuing with the afternoon exploration. Later in the afternoon, exit Lake Manyara and drive to your accommodation in the Karatu area, close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy dinner and relax after a full day of wildlife exploration.

After an early breakfast, depart Karatu and drive towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering spectacular views of the highlands and changing landscapes before reaching the vast plains of Serengeti. Serengeti is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations and is renowned for its extraordinary wildlife populations and the annual movement of millions of wildebeest and zebras during the Great Migration. After entering Serengeti, your safari truly begins. Depending on wildlife movements and road conditions, your guide will select the best areas for game viewing. Look out for lions resting on the plains, cheetahs hunting in open grasslands, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and hyenas. Leopards may also be encountered around rocky kopjes and riverine areas. Enjoy a picnic lunch or lodge lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive as you continue towards your accommodation. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in the evening, enjoy dinner and relax under the African sky.

Wake up early for breakfast before heading out for a full day of wildlife exploration in the Serengeti. An early morning game drive provides an excellent opportunity to experience the Serengeti while the wildlife is active and the morning light creates exceptional photographic conditions. Your experienced guide will follow current wildlife movements and choose the most promising areas for the day’s exploration. Depending on the season and location, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras, lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas and numerous antelope species. The Serengeti’s landscape changes from open grasslands to rocky kopjes, woodland and riverine areas, creating different habitats for wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later in the afternoon, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti as you gradually begin your journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This morning provides another opportunity to spot wildlife that may have been missed during the previous days. As you leave Serengeti, continue towards the Ngorongoro highlands. The scenery changes dramatically as you move from the open Serengeti plains into the lush highland environment. Depending on the selected accommodation and safari schedule, you may visit a viewpoint overlooking the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater before continuing to your lodge. Ngorongoro is a remarkable volcanic landscape and one of Tanzania’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. The crater floor supports a high concentration of wildlife within a relatively compact area. Arrive at your accommodation in Karatu or the surrounding area, enjoy dinner and prepare for the following morning’s crater adventure.

Wake up early, enjoy breakfast and drive towards the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable morning game drive. After descending into the crater, you will explore the crater floor, where different habitats support a remarkable variety of wildlife. The crater is famous for its high concentration of wildlife and offers excellent opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, antelopes and numerous bird species. With luck, you may also encounter the endangered black rhinoceros. Your guide will select suitable viewing areas based on wildlife activity and current conditions. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location before beginning the ascent from the crater. After exiting the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, continue driving back towards Arusha, where your 6-day Tanzania safari officially comes to an end. Depending on your onward travel arrangements, you may be dropped off at your hotel, airport or another agreed location in Arusha.
