This 5-day itinerary covers Tanzania's northern safari circuit in a single, efficient loop: Lake Manyara's tree-climbing lions, the wildlife-dense Ngorongoro Crater, two days in the vast Serengeti, and Tarangire's giant elephant herds and ancient baobabs. The trip runs as a private safari - your vehicle and guide are exclusive to your own group throughout, in a modified 4x4 Land Cruiser with a photographic roof hatch. Pricing is $4,400 per person for a solo traveler, or $2,950 per person for a group of 2-12 (double occupancy); a single room supplement of $450 per person applies if you'd rather not share a room. Best travel windows are December-March and June-October.
Depart Moshi for Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but wildlife-dense park known for its tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, transfer to Karatu for the night.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater - often called the 8th Wonder of the World - for a morning of game drives among one of Africa's densest concentrations of wildlife, with a real chance at all of the Big Five. In the evening, continue on to the Serengeti.
A full day of game drives across the Serengeti's endless plains, with the option of an early start to catch nocturnal predators returning from the night's hunt as the park wakes up at dawn.
One final game drive as you check out of the Serengeti, driving back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Karatu for the night.
Game drives in Tarangire National Park, known for its huge elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, before an evening transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure. An overnight in Arusha or Moshi can be arranged for travelers with a later flight.
