Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Meet your professional safari guide for a short briefing before departing toward Tarangire National Park. Known for its enormous elephant herds, iconic baobab trees and the life-giving Tarangire River, the park offers a beautiful introduction to Tanzania's wildlife. Upon arrival, begin your full-day game drive, exploring the park's diverse landscapes in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, impalas, warthogs and, with luck, predators such as lions and leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your exploration. In the late afternoon, leave Tarangire and drive toward the scenic town of Karatu, located near the Ngorongoro Highlands. Check in at your accommodation, enjoy dinner and relax after your first exciting day in the African wilderness.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but remarkably diverse wildlife destination situated beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park features groundwater forests, open grasslands, acacia woodland, wetlands and the famous alkaline Lake Manyara. Enjoy a game drive through this beautiful ecosystem, looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, hippos and a wide variety of birdlife. Lake Manyara is also known for its famous tree-climbing lions, and with some luck, you may spot these magnificent predators resting among the branches. After your game drive, enjoy lunch before returning to Karatu. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your lodge, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and preparing for your journey into the legendary Serengeti the following day.
After breakfast, depart Karatu and begin the spectacular journey toward Serengeti National Park. The route takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering beautiful views of Tanzania's highlands and surrounding countryside. As you approach Serengeti, the landscape gradually transforms into vast open plains—the iconic scenery that has made Serengeti one of Africa's most famous safari destinations. Enter the park and begin an en-route game drive, taking advantage of every opportunity to observe wildlife along the way. Depending on the season and current wildlife movements, you may encounter herds of wildebeest and zebras, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, hyenas and various predators. Arrive at your accommodation in the evening, enjoy dinner and relax under the unforgettable African sky.
Wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness and prepare for one of the highlights of your safari—a full day exploring Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, head into the wilderness with your experienced safari guide. Serengeti is famous for its endless savannahs, extraordinary wildlife density and the annual Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the world's most spectacular natural events. Your guide will select the best areas to explore based on the season, wildlife movements and recent sightings. Throughout the day, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras, lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas and other fascinating wildlife. Keep your eyes open for the elusive leopard, often found resting in the branches of acacia trees. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the game drive, allowing you to spend more time exploring rather than returning to camp. Continue your adventure until late afternoon before returning to your accommodation. Enjoy dinner and your final night surrounded by the sounds of Serengeti.
Rise early and enjoy breakfast before beginning your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Depending on wildlife conditions, enjoy a morning game drive as you leave Serengeti, giving you one final opportunity to encounter wildlife along the route. Continue toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, often described as one of Africa's greatest natural wildlife sanctuaries. Descend approximately 600 metres into the crater for an unforgettable game drive across its magnificent floor. The crater supports an exceptional concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, hyenas and numerous bird species. With luck, you may also have the opportunity to see the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the designated area before continuing your crater exploration. Later, ascend from the crater and begin the scenic drive back to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or evening and check in at Tulia Boutique Hotel, where you can relax after an incredible five-day safari.
