Your safari begins with a scheduled flight from Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti, offering beautiful aerial views of Tanzania’s diverse landscapes. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will meet your professional safari guide and begin your first game drive in search of wildlife. Northern Serengeti is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, and leopards. Depending on the season, you may also have the opportunity to witness the spectacular Great Migration, when large herds of wildebeests and zebras move through the region. After an exciting afternoon exploring the wilderness, you will head to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, set out for a full day of wildlife exploration in Northern Serengeti, one of Tanzania’s most remarkable safari destinations. With your experienced guide, explore the open plains, riverine forests, and scenic landscapes while searching for the region’s famous wildlife. During the Great Migration season, you may have the chance to observe large herds of wildebeests and zebras gathering near the Mara River, where dramatic river crossings sometimes take place. Sightings depend on the season and the animals’ movements, but the area offers excellent opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and other fascinating species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive, then return to your camp for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, depart Northern Serengeti and drive towards Central Serengeti, enjoying game viewing along the way. This journey allows you to experience the changing scenery of the Serengeti ecosystem, from the northern woodlands and river valleys to the vast open plains of the central region. Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera area, is famous for its resident wildlife and excellent opportunities to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Enjoy game drives en route, with time to stop and observe wildlife whenever suitable opportunities arise. Upon arrival at your camp, settle in and enjoy dinner surrounded by the atmosphere of the African wilderness.

After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife within its unique volcanic landscape. During your crater exploration, you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, lions, and, with some luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site within the crater before continuing your wildlife adventure. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and proceed to Karatu, a charming town surrounded by lush farmland and rolling green hills, where you will check in at your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Karatu for your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport, enjoying the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania along the way. Depending on your flight departure time and the schedule, you may enjoy a complimentary cultural visit to a traditional Maasai boma, where you can learn about Maasai culture, traditions, and daily life. This visit is offered at no additional cost and is subject to time availability. Afterwards, continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your memorable Tanzania safari to an end.
