A comfortable, lodge-based safari through three of northern Tanzania's classic parks - Tarangire, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater - staying in mid-range lodges throughout rather than tented camps. Travel is in a private 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser with an English-speaking driver guide, with pickup and drop-off at Kilimanjaro Airport.
After being picked up on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and an overnight stay at Mvuli Hotel, your safari begins at 0700hrs with a transfer to Tarangire National Park to start your game viewing experience in this magnificent park, famous for its large baobab trees, spectacular large mammal population, variety of bird species, and one of the largest concentrations of elephants in the country. After your tour around the park, you'll be transferred to Fanaka Lodge (or similar) for the night.
You'll start your safari at 0700hrs and head to Serengeti National Park to kick off day two. Along the way you'll pass a traditional Maasai boma to experience the Maasai way of life. You'll enter the Serengeti around noon and spend the afternoon exploring its endless plains in search of the great annual wildebeest migration. After your game drive, you'll be taken to Serengeti Lodge (or similar) for the night.

You'll wake at 0600hrs for a sunrise and early morning game drive, exploring the amazing variety of mammals, birds and reptiles the park has to offer, taking in the breathtaking scenery and sunsets. After a brunch-lunch, you'll continue on to Ngorongoro, staying at Rhino Lodge (or similar) at the top of the crater rim for the night.
An early start to explore the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the few places in Tanzania combining such a breathtaking blend of scenery, wildlife, and cultural history. The crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and one of the New7Wonders of Africa. After your morning game drive, you'll enjoy a packed lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site before being transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure, or on to Zanzibar if you're continuing your trip.
