Day 1: Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you. From Arusha, continue to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful wildlife destinations. Enjoy your first game drive through the park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and many bird species. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, transfer to Farm of Dreams Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. Descend into the crater floor for a full-day game drive surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Explore this natural wonder, home to the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the endangered black rhino, as well as large herds of zebras, wildebeest, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before returning to Karatu for a relaxing evening at Eileen’s Trees Inn.
