The journey from your lodge in Arusha to Lodoare Gate, spanning 160 kilometers, is now easily accessible via a newly constructed tarmac road, reducing travel time to approximately 2 hours. To enter the Ngorongoro Crater, a 4×4 safari vehicle is indispensable if you opt for the gravel road route rather than the main roads. Departure from Arusha is scheduled for 6:00 am, with the first stop being the Loduare Gate for registration. From there, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable tour of this vast natural amphitheater, covering 2,590 square kilometers (100 square miles). This unique landscape teems with diverse wildlife, offering opportunities to spot rhinos, elephants, lions, and large herds of zebras and wildebeest. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed on the crater floor. In the afternoon, you'll exit the crater and return to Arusha for an overnight stay, arranged independently.
